Jack Mitchell Roe

Jack Mitchell Roe passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020.  He was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on March 4, 1933 to William Edward and Vivian Margaret (Boles) Roe.

Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather

He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1952-1956 serving during the Korean War.

He married Gladys Bays on December 20, 1953. Jack and Gladys’ 64 years of marriage were filled with love. Upon his retirement from Midtown Church of Christ in 2000 they enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

Most of all he loved the Lord, his family and all of his animals.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Roe, Daughter, Denise Watts, Parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors are sons: Phil Roe and Melissa, Franklin Tennessee, Mark Roe and Dana, Burleson, Texas, daughter, Joni Hutchins and Craig, North Richland Hills, Texas, son-in-law Jim Watts, Joshua, Texas, brother Jim Roe and Shirley, Cushing, OK,

11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Wed. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua, Texas.

Service: 10:00 am Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Burleson Church of Christ.

Interment: Burleson Memorial Park, Burleson, Texas.
