Jacob "Jake" Pettigrew, 34, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in Burleson. Service: 2:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Jake Pettigrew Memorial Fund, care of American National Bank, 308 E. Renfro, Suite 100, Burleson, Texas 76028. Jake was born Feb. 14, 1980, in Columbus, Ga. He loved Jesus and spending time with his family. Jake was always dedicated to his children. He was a third-degree black belt in karate. Jake was an avid poker player. He enjoyed shooting guns and blowing things up. Survivors: Wife, Candace Pettigrew of Burleson; children, Denna and Dallas Pettigrew of Burleson; parents, Chuck and Patricia Pettigrew of Fort Worth; brothers, Jeremiah Pettigrew and wife, Brooke, of Fort Worth, and Joshua Pettigrew and wife, Kathleen, of Shreveport, La.; grandparents, Joe P. Dena of Fort Worth, Ginny Dena of Fort Worth, Chuck Pettigrew and wife, Linda, of Burleson, and Joyce Pettigrew of Fort Worth; and extended family and friends.
