James was born January 8, 1936 to Claude Clemens Allen, and Ethel Fitzgerald Allen.
James married Sondra Polson on October 4, 1963 in Benbrook Texas.
James and Sondra were members of Reese Prairie Baptist Church, now known as Chisholm Summit Community Church.
James retired from CocaCola Bottling Company after 47 years.
James enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sondra Allen of 38 years, his daughter Barbara Carter Steward, parents Claude and Ethel Allen,
brothers Warner, Royce, Toby and sister Cora Allen.
Survivors: Daughters, Deanna, Carter Mullins, Susan Vargas and husband Victor Vargas; Grandchildren: Aaron and Michelle Greene, Lacey McMullen, Morgan and Troy Nelson, Matthew and Sara Mullins, Brittney and Richard Bryson, and Verick Kincaid, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
