JOSHUA -- James Edward Ashcraft, 86, of Joshua, a retired electrician for Santa Fe Railroad died Sun. December 26, 2010 in Joshua. Gravside Service: 2 PM Wed. at Union Hill Cemetery in Joshua. James was born April 27, 1924 in Rio Vista to James Robert and Gladys Beatrice Doyle Ashcraft. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. James married Carolyn Wolfe on April 12, 2002 in Cleburne. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. James loved farming, his cows, sports and sitting on his porch. He also loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his first wife, Twana Ashcraft, parents and 1 sister, Bobbie Jean Ashcraft. Survivors: Wife, Carolyn Ashcraft of Joshua; daughter, Sheri Lofgren and husband Jim of Atlanta, GA.; son, Jesse Ashcraft of Cleburne; 5 step-children; grandchildren, Lindsey, Jimmy, Kristin, Anna; 11 step-grandchildren; brother, Ray Ashcraft and wife Linda of Temple; extended family and friends.
