James Edward Couch

James Edward Couch, 79, of Burleson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Open Door Church in Burleson. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson. James Edward Couch was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Alvarado to Hugh and Mattie (Lemons) Couch. James was a loving husband and father. He was an accountant who was passionate about his work, and clients. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing James would tell you that he was the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. He never failed to greet those he knew with a smile and a hug. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Couch. Survivors: wife, Doris Couch; daughter, Marene (Couch) Steben and husband, Chad; sons, Craig Couch and wife, Brooke, and Van Couch; grandchildren, Rachel, Preston, Reagan and Brandon; great-grandchild, Jaxon; sister, Louise; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
