JOSHUA -- James Leland Erby, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. James was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Waxahachie, to Weldon and Addie Marie Bransom Erby. James was a longtime member of the Mountain Valley Country Club. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Wayne Erby. Survivors: Wife, Martha Erby; son, James Erby Jr; daughter, Rhonda Johnston and husband, Nathan; sisters, Sharon Elliott and Donna Whitesil and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Amanda Johnston, T.C. Johnston, James Erby III and wife, Lindsey, and Joshua Erby; and other family and friends.
