JOSHUA -- James "Jimmy" William Patterson, 61, a carpenter, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, in Joshua. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. James was born May 24, 1945, in Geneva, Neb., to James Caldwell and Thelma Helen Rothrock Patterson. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved being granddaddy to all the grandchildren. James loved cooking out with friends and family, riding his Harley and going hunting. James was a drill instructor during his time in the U.S. Army. He was a master Mason of Burleson Lodge #649 and was part owner of MRB Construction. He was highly respected and looked up to by many who knew him. James was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ruth Patterson, in 2003 and his parents, James and Thelma Patterson. Survivors: Daughters, Leasa Fox and husband, Robby, of Cleburne, Angie Dawn Jackson of Abilene and Brandy Lynn Ward of Joshua; grandchildren, Mason Jackson, Morgan Jackson, Caden Ward and Mark Fox; brother, Stanley Patterson of Crowley; sister, Sharon Dowling of Fullerton, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends and extended family.
