James "Ira" Smith, 100, Joshua, passed away Friday April 15, 2016. Service: 10:00 AM Tuesday April 19, 2016 Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua. Visitation: 6-8 PM Monday. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Ira was born on September 26, 1915 in Greenfield, Oklahoma. He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting of all kinds, watching sports, working and gardening. Survivors: daughter, Sonja Smith-Bransom and husband Marvin, of Joshua; son, James Smith and wife Fran, of Joshua; 4 grandkids, Sheri Bransom-Hicks, Mark Bransom and wife Brenda, Sunny Smith-Knote and husband David, Sandy Smith-Farmer and husband Michael; 7 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Amberly, Marcus, Marah, Ashlynn, Euan, Scarlett; 4 great-great grandchildren, Ryann, Rylee, Jaxon, Marshall , and a host of many other loved ones.
