James "Dean" Smith Sr.

James "Dean" Smith Sr., 51, of Burleson, passed away December 24, 2017. Funeral Service:1PM Friday, Dec. 29th at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday Dec. 28th at the funeral home. Interment: Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Dean was born January 2, 1966 in Fort Worth to Glenn and Linda Smith. His passion in life was drag racing. Dean loved spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He loved cooking out with a lot of dancing. Dean is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife, Yvonne Smith of Burleson; sons, James Dean Smith Jr. and wife, Tara of Burleson, James Chad Smith and wife, J.T. of Niceville, Florida, and James Cole Smith of Burleson; step-son, Joshua Wooten of Dallas; grandchildren, Blaine Smith, Maddy Smith, Jax Smith, and Jake Smith; brother, Drew Stephens and wife Sonya; sisters, Dianne Smith, Charlotte Thomas and husband Leonard, Tinnie Smith and husband, Jonathan Collier; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
