James "Leroy" Vaughn

James Leroy Vaughn, 79, of Burleson, passed away September 15, 2016. Funeral Service: 11AM, September 19, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 2-4 PM, Sunday, September 18, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Cresson Cemetery. Leroy was born March 23, 1937 in Joshua to Roy Cross Vaughn and Cerena Jane Shipley. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Leroy adored his grandsons, and loved spending time with the family. He worked as an electrician at Lockheed Martin for 42 years. Leroy is preceded in death by his wife, Ollene Vaughn, his parents, and his sister, Twila Bryan Fowler, step-sister, Hellen Matthews. Survivors: Son, Rusty Vaughn, and wife Kay of Burleson; sister, Shiela Wilson, and husband Charles of Cleburne; 2 grandsons, Brennen and Kennedy Vaughn; brother-in-law, James Harold Whitehead, and wife Jessie of Venus; step-brother Bud Haile, and wife Deona of Comfort; nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
