James "Jake" Wesley, 80, crossed over Jordan to the Promised Land on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Service: 10AM Monday, Burleson Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Alton Ashby, officiating. Pallbearers will be members of his church family. Visitation: 6-8PM Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Burleson. Burial: Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. James was born October 5, 1931, in Wells, to the late Arthur and Ruth McKinnion Wesley. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and spent many years as a steel worker for Texas Steel. James loved to work in the yard with his rose bushes, and was longtime member of the Burleson Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Shirley Crisp. Survivors: Wife, Joyce Wesley; daughters, Kay Carter, and husband Randy, Elizabeth Peede, and husband Ronny, and Betty Deane; son, David Wesley; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
