Jason Buchanan

Jason Buchanan, 39, of Burleson, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. Service: 11AM Friday, Feb. 26, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, Jason's Uncle, Pastor Stephen McCoy to officiate. Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park. Jason was born July 18, 1976 in Fort Worth to David and Cindy Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his father. Jason was a loving father, son, brother, and friend, who valued his family most. He grew up in Burleson, and graduated Burleson High School, where he was very active in sports and was selected most valuable player on the high school soccer team his Junior and Senior year. Jason also enjoyed football, as he served his high school team as kicker. He was very proud of his Bachelor of Divinity Degree earned while attending Shalom Bible College in 2014. Survivors: mother, Cindy Buchanan; step-father, Sherwood Voss; son, Brandon Buchanan; sisters Stephanie Geisendorff, and husband Otto of Tomball, and Christie Hicks and husband Tim of Midlothian; step-sister, Andrea Voss of Lancaster; nephews, Colton, Connor, Rayce; niece Carlie; and many other loving extended family and friends.
