James (Jay) Michael Sloan, 50, passed away September 14, 2014. Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Jay was born February 22, 1964 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Jimmy R. and Jean (Long) Sloan. He loved golf, fishing, skiing, watching nascar, baseball and football. He loved all Oklahoma State sports. Jay enjoyed working and being creative. He had a deep concern for others. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ray Sloan; nephew, Jacob Lee Sloan; and aunt, Joyce Ivins. Survivors: mother, Jean Finch and step-father, Bob Finch of Burleson; son, Dakota Lee Sloan of Burleson; daughter, Carley Michael Sloan of Burleson; step-daughter, Hannah Gilley of Burleson; step-son, Cody Davis of Cleburne; brother, Jeffery David Sloan and wife Lynn of Haltom City; Fiance, Shelly Gilley of Burleson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Oklahoma and Texas.
