Jeffrey Lee Jones

November 27, 1969- July 4, 2022

Jeffrey Lee Jones, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 4, 2022.  Born in Joplin MO to Tom Jones and Mary Hurst, Jeff spent much of his formative years in Northern California.  Jeffrey joined the US Army right after high school and spent 4 years in the communications divisions.  After the military, Jeff would spend the rest of his career in the construction industry.  In 1994 Jeffrey married the love of his life, Jennifer.  Jeffrey and Jennifer enjoyed almost 30 years together, raising their two children Austin and Bailey.  Jeffrey was a devoted dad and family man, spending every available minute coaching baseball, camping, and going on adventures.  Jeffrey’s favorite team was always the San Francisco Giants.  In fact, he would say that he only rooted for two teams.  The Giants, and whoever was playing the Dodgers.  He was always the first in line for the roller coaster, he was game to try just about anything.  His laugh was infectious, and he was always up for a good joke.  As a man of faith Jeff tried to exemplify Christ in everything he did.  He was always involved in their church including both the Royal Rangers where he was a Commander and the media/sound booth ministries.

Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife Jennifer, son Austin Jones and his wife Kelsi and soon to be here grandson Weston of Joshua TX, Daughter Bailey Jones of Joshua TX.  Mother Mary Hurst of Joplin MO, Brother David Jones and his wife Christine of Ukiah CA, In-laws Clyde and Jackie Sewell of Joshua TX.  Sister and Brother-in-Law Eddie and Toni Studer of Joshua TX. Sister and Brother-in-Law Danny and Amanda Sirota of Joshua TX.  He leaves behind his nieces and nephews:  Maegan, Avery, Emily, Kamryn, Emma, Isaac, Sophia and Isabella.  As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins who love and will miss him dearly.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, his brother Dennis, and his stepdad Dale.

A celebration of Jeffrey will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Victory Family Church  455 NW John Jones Blvd. Burleson TX.

In honor of Jeff's two favorite things, the family would like those in attendance to wear either a Hawaiian shirt, or their favorite baseball jersey/shirt.
