Jerry Lee Mitchell

Jerry Mitchell was born in Wylie, Texas on September 12, 1937 to Roy and Bessie Mitchell. He passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon on July 3, 2022 as he was transported to his heavenly home surrounded by family.

Jerry graduated from Wylie High School in ? and went on to join the service, he faithfully served in the Army and Air Force Reserves as he was about to be discharged he met and fell in love with his wife Marie who he met at church while he was stationed on Aberdeen Proving Grounds. They married on November 9, 1957 and were married for 64 wonderful years.

Jerry was a God-fearing man, and he would tell anybody that would listen about Gods greatness. He never met a stranger and would talk for hours to anyone who would listen, he was a dad to anyone who needed one and he is going to be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children Jerry, Tammy, Tracy, and Michael, along with their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Roy and Bessie Mitchell, his brother Max Mitchell, his sister Patsy Griggs and his baby daughter Lisa.
