Jerry W. Reeves, 77, of Burleson, a retired master sergeant in the United States Air Force, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Jerry Wayne Reeves was born March 17, 1932, in Fort Worth to Guy B. and Willie Mildred Edgar Reeves. He married Mary June North on June 25, 1950, in Wichita Falls. He was a 20-year veteran and retiree of the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during Korea and Vietnam. He was a Baptist. A private pilot, he loved flying both real and model airplanes. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry W. Reeves Jr., in 1973; and his wife, Mary June Reeves, in 2006. Survivors: Sons, Robert Reeves and wife, Carla, of Burleson, David Reeves and wife, Teresa, of Burleson and Guy Reeves and wife, Kristie, of Burleson; daughter, Teresa Amason of Burleson; brother, Loman L. Reeves of Conroe; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
