Jerry Wayne Turner

Jerry Wayne (Boggs)Turner, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle left this world for his heavenly home on August 31, 2021 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was 73 years old.

He leaves behind a beacon of light and loving memories for his family, as well as all who knew him. A man of faith, Boggs was a Bible-believing Christ follower; an honorable, kind, and devoted family man. Boggs was born December 22, 1947, to Olin Oscar (Dude) Turner and Dorothy Nell (Sims)Turner in Cleburne, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jeffrey Turner of Blum, Tx, and Jerel Turner of Whitney, Tx.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janna Turner of Whitney, Tx; sons and daughters-in-law Cody Turner and wife Kim of Burleson, Tx; Cory Turner and wife Andy of Godley, Tx; grandchildren, Kylie Turner and Andrew Hawkins of Burleson, Tx; Zachary, Alec, and Carson Turner of Burleson, Tx; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Hawkins of Burleson, Tx; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and wife Carolyn Turner of Blum, Tx; JG and Wife Beckey Turner of Linden, Tx; Jay and wife Julie Turner of Granbury, Tx; sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda Gilley of  Cleburne, Tx; Terry Casillas of Joshua, Tx; Susie and Michael Doty of Cleburne, Tx; Jana and Stephen Leck of Burleson, Tx; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Boggs was a quick-witted man who delighted in teasing his family, as well as being the first to catch you off guard with his hilarious telling of the latest joke. He treasured his time spent with his grandchildren and his great granddaughter, who lovingly called him Pa. His sons and daughters in law hold tight to the memories of a loving father who was always there. The memory of the abundance of family camping adventures will last a lifetime for his devoted wife, sons, daughter in laws, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and cousins.
