JOSHUA -- Jim "The Boot Man" Hammond, 74, a retired maintenance supervisor, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Jim was born June 18, 1932, in Grandfield, Okla., to Robert and Deliah Foust Hammond. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Vienna Ruth Hammond, in 1975. Jim married June Hope on Sept. 5, 1976, in Joshua.
