Jimmie Virginia Bicknell Jones, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Joshua. Burial: Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jimmie Jones to First United Methodist Church of Joshua, 114 Paula Drive, Joshua, Texas 76058. Jimmie was born Feb. 3, 1927, in the Mount Carmel community of Johnson County, to the late Hiram Austin and Maud Florence Jones Bicknell. She was preceded in death by son, Roy Dan Jones. She was a loving mother and a proud homemaker who spent her early years as an independent dairy operator. Jimmie also enjoyed quilting. Survivors: Husband of 69 years, T.L. Jones; daughter, Betty Foster and special friend, Kevin Sheehy; sons, Ralph Lee Jones and wife, Barbara, Morris Dale Jones and wife, Judy; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and a host of other loving extended loved ones and friends.
