Jimmy Bob Eudy, Jr.

September 18, 1943 — May 25, 2020

On Monday May 25, 2020, Jimmy Bob Eudy, loving husband and father of four children and seven grandchildren, passed away at age 77. He was born in West Texas in a small town of Plainview on September 18th, 1943. Jimmy married Carolyn on March 11, 1966. They were married for 54 years and were soul mates. An affection that most of us hope for, and a love, that is true, authentic, and undisputable. They became parents to 4 beautiful children that all cared so much for their Father.  Together Jimmy and Carolyn raised two daughters Mandi, and Beth and two sons Joel and Jon.

Jimmy had a passion for aviation. That passion led to him getting his pilot’s license. And, that passion led to him working at Lockheed Martin for more than 30 years. Though working full time, he devoted himself to mission work in Korea and Mexico. He was a kind soul and surrogate to many helping those that needed help the most. Once retired from Lockheed, he was a Pastor for a small congregation. Jimmy never stopped working, on any given day, he would be out in the barn tinkering around on the tractor and just enjoying his zest for life.

Jimmy Eudy was a man of God. He was a servant with an unabashed faith that was the guiding light for how he lived his life. His strong Christian faith influenced who he was as a devoted Husband, Father, Son, Grandfather, affectionally known as Poppy, and a dear friend to so many. His conviction was steadfast and unwavering. He had a gentle kindred spirit and lived life as an example to those that knew him.

Jimmy was a quiet stoic man. But in that quietness, rose a confidence and presence always captured with a warm smile. That warm smile had such an inviting feeling of absolute solace. He was the salt of the earth and a country boy at heart. He was our rock, our pillar, and our everything. Though a man of few words, Jimmy was always and will always be there for those he knew dearly and those he did not. Jimmy quietly listened, demonstrated patience, and always provided encouragement.

If you could choose one word to summarize Jimmy, it would be, “genuine”. Jimmy was authentic and unpretentious with a sincerity to him that left you listening to his every word.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by his father Bob. He is survived by his mother Lola Mae, Sisters Shirley, Myra and his wife Carolyn their four children Mandi, Beth, Joel and Jon along with 7 grandchildren.
