Jimmy Wilmote Vinson, 86, of Fort Worth, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. Funeral Service: 10AM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: 9AM before service. Interment: Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Jimmy was born October 25, 1930 in Cleburne, to Jesse and Helen (Key) Vinson. He loved classical music and baseball. Jimmy was a retired master electrician for the Fort Worth ISD. He was involved in athletics for the Cleburne Yellow Jackets. Jimmy's family will miss his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a loving father and grandpa. Jimmy loved the Lord and loved his family. He is preceded in death by sons, Stacy and Jay Vinson; grandson, Scott Smith; and 2 brothers. Survivors: daughters, Penny Moore and husband, Derrell of Pottsboro, and Donna Smith of Burleson; grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, Darren Moore and wife, Jordan, Rachel Moore; sister-in-law, Janie Vinson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hicks and wife, Emily, Ashton Hicks, Logan Stevenson; great-great-grandchild, Oliver Scott Hicks; niece, Tracy Vinson Pogue and husband, Shane; many family and friends.
