Jo Halbert

Jo Halbert, 82, a homemaker of Burleson, died Monday, May 12, 2008, in Cleburne. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Crowley Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Ada Jo Halbert was born Sept. 13, 1925, in Crowley to George W. and Bettye Bransom Morgan. She married Fred "Cotton" Halbert on Oct. 25, 1943, in San Diego, Calif. Mrs. Halbert was a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church in Burleson; her kids and grandkids were her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred "Cotton" Halbert, in 2003. Survivors: Son, Morgan Halbert and wife, Lindsey, of Joshua; daughters, Nancy Lowe and husband, Danny, of Cleburne, Barbara Miller and husband, Gerald, of Burleson, Bettye Henderson and husband, Kenneth, of Covington; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous cousins and other family members; and her family at Heritage Place Nursing Home in Cleburne.
