JOSHUA -- Jo Lawrence, 78, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Jo was born Feb, 1, 1930, in Broken Bow, Okla., to Oscar H. and Lillian B. Riggs Kizer. She married Dale Lawrence on July 26, 1952, in Polk County, Ark. Jo was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved fishing, working in her flower garden and reading. She had been a Joshua resident since 1970. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1999, after 46 years of marriage. Jo was also preceded by a great-granddaughter, Macey Coffey. Survivors: Sons, Bobby Lawrence and wife, Jody, of Joshua, Doug Lawrence and wife Melissa, of Fort Worth and Wayne Lawrence and wife, Sandra, of Burleson; daughters, Thetis Hitt and husband, Ted, of Conroe, Jane Jones of Joshua, Nita Taylor of Joshua, Julie Taylor and husband, Tim, of DeRidder, La.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
