Jo Ann (Rose) Roark was reunited with her husband, Bobby Roark, and other family members and our Heavenly Father on Sept. 18, 2019. Jo Ann was born Sept. 14, 1940, to mother, DeEtte Rose, and father, Tolbert Rose.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Joe Roark; her parents; several aunts and uncles; brother-in-law, Ray Miller; and sister-in-law, Norma Rose.
Jo Ann was blessed with three children, Jackie Will and husband, Chris Will, of San Antonio, Bobette Vroon of Crowley and Chuck Roark and wife, April Roark, of Godley. Jo Ann has four grandchildren who refer to her as "Granny," Cassie (Seth) Vroon, Donny Vroon, Sara Roark and Brittany Roark.
Being a Granny was Jo Ann's favorite job title. Jo Ann spent 14 years of her life working as a substitute teacher in Crowley where her students referred to her as Granny as well. She loved working with our young people and being a Granny. Thousands of Crowley ISD students will always know Granny.
Jo Ann loved her family and her pets. She valued traditions and always was able to make an event special. She had a gift for making people feel loved and important. She was a kind, loving, compassionate, strong and giving woman who loved our Lord, her family, her friends, her church and community.
Celebration of Life Service will be held in Crowley at the home of Bobette Vroon's on Friday from 6-8 PM.
