Jo Ann Rogers

Jo Ann Rogers, 60, of Fort Worth, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. She was born July 9, 1957, in Dallas to Lester and Nettie (Miller) Bates. Services:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday. Interment: Burleson Memorial Cemetery. Jo Ann loved spending time with her husband and children, along with her grandchildren. She loved taking care of and riding her horse, Dart. She loved to sing and dance and enjoyed gardening and being out in the yard. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Chase Bates; mother and father, Lester and Nettie Bates; and brother, Gary Bates. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 35 years, Derwin Rogers of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Chassey Breeland and husband, Corey, of Burleson, Texas, Melissa Burnett and husband, Kent, of Fort Worth, Misti Payne and husband, Ryan, of Lone Oak, Texas, and Katina Wooten and husband, Tim, of Greenville, Texas; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Weis, Doris Lavassaur, Carolyn Malcolm and Patsy Bates; brother, Eddie Bates; and many nieces and nephews.
