J.O. Tarver, 84, of Alvarado, a rancher, died Saturday Dec. 3, 2011 in Alvarado. Funeral: 10 am Tues. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Marystown Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation : 6-8 pm Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. J.O. was born May 20, 1927 in Egan to William Monroe "Ollie" and Lorine Holland Tarver. He loved farming, bailing hay, working in his dump truck business, watching western shows & music, he also liked visiting friends at the nursing home. J.O. was preceded in death by Hazel Culbert, sisters and a brother. Survivors: Daughters, Judy Greenway and husband Ramsey of Godley, Bernice Gasperson and husband Sonny of Bridgeport; sister, Ozell Hopper; extended family and friends.
