Joan Edging, 88, passed away September 3, 2014, in Alvarado. Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, September 8, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 4-6 PM, Sunday at the Funeral Home. Joan was born March 30, 1926, in Lafayette, Indiana to Newell and Flossie (Smith) Cox. She was a happy homemaker who loved gardening, the outdoors, and shopping. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Debby (Edging) Espe. Survivors: husband of 66 years, Dallas Edging; daughters, Jill Edging, Judy (Edging) Thompson and husband Mark; grandchildren, Sara, Katy, Megan, Andy, Lori and Justin; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
