Joanne Elizabeth Johnson, 59, of Boyd, a homemaker went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 2, 2009 at her residence. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 6, 2009 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Joanne was born November 28, 1949 in San Antonio to Joseph and Florence Garcia Pool. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Joanne loved gardening, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, traveling and sports. She also loved her family very much and loved spending time with them. Joanne was preceded in death by her father; brother, Richard Pool. Survivors: Husband, Lyndon Johnson of Boyd; son, Steven Johnson and wife Darla of Boyd; daughter, Elisabeth Marsh of Plano; grandchildren, Chelsea, Breanna, Steven Jr., Elizabeth, Alyssa, Grace and Jerimiah; mother, Florence Pool of Temple; brother, Joe Pool and wife Evelyn of Belton; sister, Joyce Jones and husband Allen of Temple; sister in law, Dawn Pool of Joshua; numerous nieces and nephews.
