John L. Bay, 82 of Burleson, a retired printer and book binder for Cockerel Printing, died Thursday May 27, 2010 in Burleson. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial danations can be made to the National Parkinson Foundation. P.O. Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018. John Leslie Bay was born January 8, 1928 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Leslie Edwin and Cora Cummings Bay. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He married Muriel Tibbs on January 7, 1950 in Ashdown, Arkansas. John enjoyed fishing, wood working, and tinkering with things. He could fix anything. He had a great sense of humor and always had something funny to say. He also had a kind gentle soul. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Burleson where he was a greater for many years. Survivors: Wife, Muriel Bay of Burleson; daughters, Janie Sard and husband, Bob Russell of Burleson, Beverly Susan Kirbie and husband, James W. Sr., of Gun Barrell City; grandchildren, Leslie Chamchot and husband, Nae, D'Ann McComas and husband, Matt, Brian Sard and wife, Amanda, John Edward Murray and wife, Tricia, Charles Phillip Murray, PFC Joshua Haley; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
