John Adren Gillaspie

John Adren Gillaspie was born in Johnson county Texas on November 19, 1935 to Odias Samuel Gillaspie and  Marchie Lee Jamerson Gillaspie. He passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 surrounded by his family.
John is survived by Gloria Lewis Gillaspie, his wife of 67 years and four children.
Daughters,
Shanda Gillaspie Perkins, husband Lance and children Jerome (Melissa), Jeremiah (Niki), Greg, Sasha, Hunter and Josey (Ruth).
Richelle Gillaspie Smithee, husband Cory and children Tiffanie (Collin), Deah (Ben), Daniel (Rosemarie) and Adrianna.
Sons, Stuart Gillaspie, wife Tina and children, Shane (Chelsea), Whitney and Christin.
Otis Gillaspie, wife Teresa, children, Lauren (Robby), Landon (Whitney), Audrey, Alex (Kaylie) and Asher (Desirae).
Survived also by 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
Niece, Elaine Whitaker Spencer and Nephews, Sammy Whitaker and Randy Toney.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Siblings: Brother,  Edwin Gillaspie and Sister, Frances Jo Gillaspie Toney. A niece Karen Whitaker and nephew Richard Gillaspie.
He retired after 37 years from Lockheed Martin where he worked in supervision.
John served on the ministry board of directors of Steppingstone/Lighthouse Church which was founded by his wife Gloria.
He enjoyed riding his Harley with his riding buddies.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather affectionately known as papa.
