John Michael Hart (76) was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 29, 1947 to Bill Hart and Barbara (Hart) Hill. He passed away peacefully November 9, 2023 while surrounded by family.
John joined the United States Marine Corps in 1965 and bravely served his country including two tours in Vietnam. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Three star Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Purple Heart Medal.
John met Debra Kahler while on leave in October 1968. Upon completing active duty, he returned to Fort Worth and married Debra on August 29, 1969. John worked for 31 years in the printing and lithograph business for Anchor Printing and RS Graphics. He and Debra raised two wonderful daughters and gained two sons through their marriages. He enjoyed country drives, nature, and vacationing with family. His grandchildren were highlights in his life. He was able to spend a lot of time with them and was so very proud of them all. After retirement he and Debra were able to enjoy many extended trips to Port Aransas and Rockport. They also frequented the Texas Hill Country where they enjoyed scenic drives, long talks, watching wildlife, and capturing inspiration for Debra's paintings. John was a character, often cracking up family and friends with his sense of humor and funny sayings. He was a very strong and courageous man. He will be greatly missed physically here on earth, but his family takes comfort knowing he's with them in spirit and knowing they will be reunited one day.
John is survived by his wife of 54 years Debra Hart; daughters Delaina Busby and husband Mark, Heather Lyon and husband Josh; grandchildren Jordan Busby (currently serving in the US Navy), Demi Bianca (Busby) Nicolau and husband Hermen, Hudson Lyon; sisters Suzanne Perry and husband Charles, Janis Martin; sister in love Melody Stovall and husband Lance; numerous family members, friends, and loved ones.
