John Perkins, Jr., age 59, of Burleson, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 28, 2016. He was born November 20, 1957, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Margaret and John Perkins. After attending elementary school in Pampa, Texas, John moved to Levelland, Texas, with his parents and graduated from Levelland High School in 1976. John celebrated 35 years with Harbison-Fischer, Crowley, Texas, serving as salesman, district manager, and regional manager and as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. John was a member of Pathway Church (St. Matthew Presbyterian) Burleson, Texas, as well as numerous organizations. John is survived by his wife, Lana, and children Malissa Perkins Summers and husband, David Summers, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jarrod Perkins and wife, Danielle Perkins, of Burleson, Texas, as well as his three grandchildren, Lucy Perkins, Leo Perkins and Beth Summers. He is also survived by his sister Belinda Battaglini and husband, Ray Battaglini, of Hobbs, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and John Perkins of Levelland, Texas. Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 2 P.M. in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel with Louis Filewood, Bedford, Texas, officiating. A reception will follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to Union Gospel Mission, Fort Worth, Texas, Kids Who Care, Inc.'s Hope Scholarship, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Special Olympics.
