John Walter Richey

HONOBIA, OKLA. -- John Walter Richey, 68, of Honobia, Okla., retired owner of Richey Paving Co., died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at his residence. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Thursday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the "Rock House" #1, Attention: Doug, Box 953, Stephenville, Texas 76401. John was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Olney to Jefferson Davis and Ella B. Hewett Richey. He proudly served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Rochester. He loved kids, dogs, the outdoors and racing cars, and lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Richey. Survivors: Daughters, Denette Barbare and husband, Bobby, Debra Woolery and husband, Paul, and Dana Richey; best friend and former wife, DeeAnn Richey; girlfriend and companion, Brenda Sotelo; and grandchildren, Brady Woolery, Tyler Barbare, Cassidy Barbare and Tiffany Woolery.
