John Mark Scibek

John Mark Scibek was born in Sherman, Texas on February 2, 1959, to John F. Scibek and Dorothy D. Shires Scibek. He passed away suddenly, Wednesday December 6, 2023. at home.
Mark grew up in Hurst, Texas and around the Pottsboro area. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School.
In January of 1998, he met the love of his life, Libby Jackson. They married in November of 1999, and moved to Joshua, Texas. He loved God, country, his dogs, playing in a band, and his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a tender grandpa, a giving brother, and kind uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Mark loved traveling with his wife, Libby. They had many great adventures traveling and exploring. Mark worked at Lockheed Martin and was planning to retire soon so he would be able to continue his travels with Libby.

He is survived by his wife, Libby Jackson Scibek, and four children. Lauren Johnson (James) and granddaughter Brynlee Johnson. Peggy Dugger and grandchildren Marelyn Nunez, Lane Jensen, and John Jensen. Amanda Williams and grandchildren Delana Williams and Ethan Williams. Alicia Williams and grandchildren Kaleb Fernandez, Autumn Ables, and Lillian Williams. His siblings, Richard (Susie) Scibek, James C. (Tanya) Scibek, Sue Ellen Scibek-Brown, Steve (Lucy) Scibek, and Mary Scibek Halley. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and loyal friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held at a later date.
