John Henry Smith

John Henry Smith, 45, of Grandview, a retired maintenance associate, died Friday Dec. 17, 2010 in Fort Worth. Funeral : 10 am Monday Dec. 20, 2010 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation; 6-8 pm Sat. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. John was born April 16, 1965 in Cleburne to Richard Lee and Katie Wells Smith. He was a loving son, father , grandfather and friend. John loved spending time with family and friends but he especially loved the time with his grandchildren. He also loved taking pictures and going to church . John was preceded in death by his father, Richard Smith; sister, Shawna Smith. Survivors: Mother, Katie Baxter of Mt. Olive, MS.; daughters, Jennifer Maddux and husband Shaun of Grandview, Jorden Smith of Hillsboro; sons, Micheal Smith and Mason Smith both of Hillsboro; brothers, Denver Smith and Joe Smith both of Joshua; sister, Kristi Austin and husband Howard of Mississippi; grandchildren, Brenna Maddux of Grandview, Nick Maddux of Mount- Calm; stepmother, Karen Smith of Carbon: extended family and friends.
