John Thomas Sneed, 76, of Fort Worth, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Funeral Services: 2PM Friday, March 17, 2017 at Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church. Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday, March 16th at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Hopewell Cemetery. John was born October 30, 1940 in Stockton, CA to Roy and Lillar O. (Laxson) Sneed. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, avid golfer and bowler, who loved karaoke, music, football, his 1982 Mercedes convertible, and family gatherings. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher; sisters, Mollie, Jeanie, Irene, and Verna; brothers, Roy Jr., Frankie, and Johnny. Survivors: wife, Melinda Sneed; daughters, Deanna Sneed and husband, Dave, Kelly DePriest and husband, Wade, and Monique Richey; son, Larry T. Sneed and wife, Nita; grandchildren, Cecil, Brandon, Kara, Justin, Aaron, Kristin, Meagan, Karlie, Cheyenne; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Oscar, Lynn, Wallace, Gil, Henry, R.C.; sisters, Nola and Caroline; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
