FORT WORTH -- Johnny C. Russell, 83, a retired aircraft manufacturing supervisor, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m.. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Johnny was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Alvarado, to Roy Clyde and Nettie Jewel Russell. He loved to paint, travel and spend time with family and his wife. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; step-mother, Anna Belle; brothers, Harold and Lamoine; and sister, Mozelle Basham. Survivors: His beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis "P.R."; daughters, Juanet Copeland and husband, Johnny of La Grange, Annette Hornbeck and husband. Greg of Corpus Christi and Vennette New and husband, Bob of Burleson; sisters, Faye Evans, Bobbie Broumley and Yvonne Jackson; brother, Steve Russell; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
