Joyce Marie Gossett

Joyce Marie Gossett, 79, of Joshua, passed away June 20, 2021, at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Hamilton, TX, to James Henry and Odessie (Carter) Stagner.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. James Grimes officiating. Interment follows in Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Joyce loved watching TV and taking long spontaneous car rides with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and liked having sister days.

She is survived by three sisters, Henrietta Elms and husband, Eddie, of Burleson, June (King) Young of Joshua and Tommie Dunning and husband, Terry, of Arlington; brother-in-law, Joe Gossett and wife, Jean, of Burleson; 13 nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and -nephews, friends and families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Gossett; parents, Jim and Odessie; three sisters, Dora, Veda and Vesta; brother, Johnny; and two brothers-in-law, Wayne and Royce.
