Joshua - Juanita Delta Dowling Nichols, 80, of Joshua, a retired Teacher, passed away Thurs. March 22, 2012 in Fort Worth. Mass of Christian Burial; 3:00 P.M. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Burleson. Wake; 2-5 P.M. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Juanita was known as "Lady" to everyone. Lady was born May 3, 1931 in Mexia,Texas to Cloyd J. Dowling and Mittie A. Glover. She married Tommy Nichols in 1949. Lady was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved teaching and was a mother to many. Her family was her life. Please consider making a donation to the Joshua ISD Education Foundation in her memory. She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Dowling. Survivors: Husband of 63 years, Tommy Nichols of Joshua; sons, Michael D. Nichols and wife Angela of Joshua, Mark L. Nichols of Fort Worth, Matthew B. Nichols and wife Susan of Kennedale, Christopher J. Nichols and wife Sherri of Cleburne; daughter; Nita D. Wilson and husband Gary of Spring, Texas; brothers; CJ Dowling of Azle, Larry Dowling and wife Yong of Austin; sisters; Frances Jackson and husband John of Austin, Kaki Hopkins and husband Shelton of Dallas; sister-in-law; Dorothy Dowling of Kerrville; Cliff Vaughn; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
