Karen Kay Dominguez passed away, August 7, 2018. Funeral Services: 2PM Monday, August 13, 2018 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua, Texas. Visitation: 4-6PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua, Texas. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua, Texas. Karen was born September 14, 1960 in Liberal, Kansas. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nana, teacher, coach, friend, and cancer warrior. She coached for 20 years and retired from teaching after 33 years. Karen loved every single student and athlete like they were her own. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with family, especially during the holidays. Above all things, Karen adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and the driving force behind her will to fight. Survivors: husband, Pedro Dominguez; daughters, Sara Urban, Jessica Hoffman, and Elizabeth Williams; brothers, Leonard and Duane McDonald; sister, Paulette Harness; grandchildren, Ty Urban, Rhylee Hoffman, Carter Williams, Eli Perkins, Emma Hoffman, Nora William; numerous loving extended family and friends.
