Karyn Gail (Duff) Franklin

Karyn Gail Franklin was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on October 29, 1943 to J.D. and Dorothy Duff. She passed away early Sunday morning February 4, 2024 and was transported to her heavenly home surrounded by her family.
Karyn grew up in Oklahoma with her parents and two siblings, Darrell Duff and Zella Dodson. She was preceded in death at birth by brother Terry Duff.

On November 6, 1959, Karyn married the love of her life Charles Franklin. In 1980 they made Burleson, Texas their home where they raised their three children. Karyn opened a convenience store called Karyn's Grocery where she touched the lives of many customers who walked through those doors daily. Karyn also helped her husband run his plumbing business, Charles Franklin and Son Plumbing. Her nine grandkids became her world and was the reason for her beautiful smile. She lit up every time she was with them. Karyn was a faithful woman and read her bible daily.

Karyn was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Dorothy Duff, her brother Darrell Duff, and her husband Charles Franklin, Sr.

She is survived by her three children.

Charles Franklin, Jr and wife Tammy and his sons Zane and Brody Franklin of Crowley, Texas.

Debbie Holderby and her children Kolton, Cooper, and Daedon of Burleson, Texas.

Robert Franklin and wife Michelle and children Avery, Sealy, Corbin and Morgan of Spring, Texas.

Her willingness to forgive and love is something we should all emulate.
