Kathryn Lucille Wickline, 84, of Burleson, a retired secretary, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at her home in Burleson. Celebration of life: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the home of her brother, 2528 Castle Rd. Burleson. Funeral: At a later date through Broyles McGuire Funeral Home, Union, W.Va. Interment: Carmel Cemetery, Gap Mills, W.Va. Kathryn Lucille Wickline was born May 10, 1926, in Lewisburg, W.Va., to George Dewey Edward and Pauline Blankenship Wickline. She graduated from Rainelle High School in 1944 and then from Charleston School of Commerce. Her first job was with the Infantile Paralysis Association and she also worked at the National Bank Of Commerce. She retired from Union Carbide Corp. in 1988 as a chemical secretary after 28 years of service. She was a member of Alpha Iota Sorority and Covenant Methodist Church of Port Orange, Fla. Kathryn was always involved in the church choir and church functions. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice Plus of Arlington, Homecare Extended of Burleson, Encompas Home Health, Huguley Hospital of Fort Worth, and Dr. Mike White and his staff for their sincere care of Kathryn during her time of illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Marvin Wickline; and sister, Margarette Adell Wickline. Survivors: Brother, Thomas Monroe Wickline and wife, Brenda Gayle, of Burleson; nieces, Juanita Kathryn Vandersaul of Burleson, Jennifer Ost of Cresson, Tammy Stone of Burleson; and nephew, Michael Tallent of Burleson.
