Kenneth Carl Brooks, 67, passed away August 11, 2014, in Joshua. Service: 11:30 AM, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: 10:30 AM till service time, Thursday at the Funeral Home. Kenneth was born July 31, 1947, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Carl and Ola Mae Grant Brooks. Kenneth was a First Sgt., retired US Army after 21 years of service. He served two tours of Vietnam. Kenneth was director of admissions for ITT Technical Institute after his retirement from the military service. Survivors: wife, Dian Brooks; daughters, Crystal Brooks, Lori Jones and husband Greg, and Kimberly Johnson; grandchildren, Joshua, Melody, Ronnie, Shannon, Spencer, Kendel and Keoni; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Kilkenny and husband Robert, and Sue Jenkins; loyal best friend, General Patton Brooks; extended family and friends.
