CLEBURNE -- Kenneth Lee Surginer, 72, a retired heavy equipment operator and beloved son and brother, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: 1 p.m. in Whitney Memorial Park, Whitney. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Kenneth was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Cherryvale, Kan., to Ted and Oneta Surginer. He spent his childhood in Whitney and attended Whitney schools. He was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church and took great joy in being with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene and Opal; and brother, Earl. Survivors: Brother, Eugene Surginer of Burleson; sisters, Ruth Erwin of Fort Worth, Betty Tawater of Burleson, Patsy Bradley of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
