BURLESON -- Kevin J. Morris, 46, of Burleson, an iron worker, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, in Fort Worth after a three-year battle with ALS. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, dontations can be made to Vitas Hospice. Kevin was born Jan. 27, 1964, in Dodge City, Kan., to Jerry and Wanda Mayfield Morris. He was a loving husband and father and friend. Kevin loved working, bird and deer hunting, fishing and going to rodeos. He loved to make people laugh, and he always smiled. Kevin would do anything for anyone. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Deer Creek Masonic Lodge #510 and a member of Texas Iron Workers Local #263. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Vitas Hospice. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother in law, Cynthia Taylor; grandmother, Ima Mayfield; 3 uncles. Survivors: Wife, Kathy Morris of Burleson; son, Clint Morris of Burleson; parents, Jerry and Wanda Morris of Burleson; brothers, Brent Morris of Hurst, Kerry Morris of Grand Prairie and Jon Marc Morris of Burleson; nieces and nephews, Taylor Morris, Amanda Morris, Austin Morris, Laura Ortega, Donny Foulks and Kerry Foulks; and numerous cousins and extended family.
