Larry Don Nelson

Larry Don Nelson, 67, retired, passed away January 8, 2013, in a Fort Worth nursing home. Memorial Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Boulevard Baptist, Burleson. Larry was born September 28, 1945, in Hillsboro, Texas to Herman and Helen Pope Nelson. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Larry loved fishing and football. He married Donna Sanders on September 22, 1989 in Joshua. Larry loved spending time with Donna and his family. He was a very hard worker. It's a shame he had to quit, due to his health. Larry was preceded in death by his father, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors: wife, Donna Nelson of Burleson; mother, Helen Nelson of Burleson; daughters, Rene Sheard and husband Chip of Waco, Devonna Lee and husband Barry of Joshua, Vickie Faith and husband Shawn of Crowley, Debra Hartman and husband Gary of Joshua; sons, Kevin Nelson of Waco, Edward West and wife Terri of Hillsboro, Roy New and wife Veronica of Weatherford; brother, Randy; sisters, Beth, Janice, and Judy; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and extended family and friends. Anyone wishing to send flowers, please send them to Boulevard Baptist Church in time for the Memorial Service.
