Larry Lee Pringle

Larry Lee Pringle, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Friday, January 28, 2022.

Larry was born February 5, 1939, in Marysville, MI to Henry and Hilda Pringle. On May 15, 1969 Larry married Maxine Quiring in Weatherford, TX. In February 1978, they welcomed their daughter Sherri into their lives and were married until Maxine’s passing in 2007.

Larry served in the Navy for several years. He was a truck driver for Johns Manville corporation before becoming a certified electrician. This was a skill he would utilize until retirement and beyond, helping friends and family.

Larry had a love for model trains and set up an entire room to enjoy them. However, his favorite pastime was bowling, accomplishing numerous 300 games and 800 series. He was so excited to teach his granddaughters to bowl. He was always so proud of his girls!

Later in life, he found love again, with Barbara. They enjoyed traveling together for bowling tournaments, sightseeing and visiting family. Larry loved his family more than anything, especially his granddaughters!

He is survived by: Wife, Barbara Wheeler; daughter Sherri Smith and husband Kevin, all of Crowley; Step daughter, Angie Heard and husband Steve, of Dangerfield; Step son, Ralph Wheeler and wife Julie, of Galena; grandchildren, Hannah, Kendra, Shelby and Ryleigh Smith; step grandchildren, Ryan and Kelli Hussong, Aaron Wheeler; Sister Janis Jones and husband Glenn; numerous nieces and nephews.
