Cleburne

Larry Wayne Taylor, born May 11th 1954, passed away Thursday June 10, 2021 at the age of 67 after a brief but well-fought battle against cancer.

It is impossible to capture the whole of who Larry was and the lives he touched in mere sentences. He retired from the City of Ft. Worth as a city inspector, so many of the roads we’ve driven and buildings we’ve seen are a fixture of his contributions. All the while, Larry also built his own business through which he tirelessly endeavored to enrich the lives of others.  Providing safety, a sense of community, ensuring people had a place to call “Home” were all part of his ever-present goals. His generosity and willingness to take chances on people was an example of how he served Christ throughout these last forty some odd years. He was a driven man in every conceivable way without sacrificing the core values of a follower of Jesus Christ. While a personal legacy was not what he sought, he nonetheless created one that will continue to impact the lives of many well into the future, because obedience to the Lord guided his daily life.

Larry’s love of the Lord was paramount in his life and he shared that love with whomever crossed his path; not only through words but through actions.  His jovial spirit, raucous laughter, silly improvised songs, caring heart and unending generosity were precious to many. Those memories now serve as a blanket of comfort for all who are missing him.

Larry has joined his son, Joshua, and loved ones in Heaven and we’re sure his mansion is unique shaped as he was fond of. He was clearly warned to be on time to welcome his wife, BJ, his daughter, Celesta,  his family and friends.
