Lawrence Dobson, 78, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 after a courageous battle with lung disease. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Friday, First Baptist Church of Crowley, 400 South Eagle Drive. Interment: Laurel Land, Fort Worth with Masonic graveside service. Visitation: The family will receive friends Thur. from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 Southwest Wilshire Boulevard, Joshua, Texas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make contributions in his memory may donate to First Baptist Church of Crowley or Crowley Masonic Lodge #1437. Lawrence was born in Jacksboro, Texas on September 8, 1933. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Crowley, Crowley Masonic Lodge # 1437, Crowley Eastern Star # 1125 and Hemphill Heights Chapter and Council. He was a retired electrician and member of IBEW Local #20. Lawrence was an Army veteran having proudly served his country in Korea. Survivors: His loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Dobson; children, Penny Dobson and John White of Crowley, Vicki Rhoades and husband Mark, of Burleson; grandchildren, Kaylee Page, Macy Rhoades and Andrew Rhoades.
