Lawrence Carldon Gentry, 65, of Burleson passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Larry was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Denison to George and Jewel Phillips Gentry. He was proud of the four years he served in the U.S. Navy, and was loved by all who knew him. Larry was retired from General Motors and had fathered many foster children through the years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Vicki Gentry; children, Shelby Sikes and husband, Troy, Shawn Gentry, Shanda Gentry and husband, Roger, Rachel Gentry, Jordan Gentry and fiancee, Bethany Mitchell, Crystal Gentry, Hayden Gentry, Natalie Gentry, Lauren Gentry; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and many other loving extended family and friends.
